James William Hendricks was born on April 15th, 1836 in Franklin, Simpson County, Kentucky to James and Elizabeth Whitaker Hendricks. He married an Elsie Ann Finn but not much is known about her or the marriage. He married Lucy Susan Stinson on January 9th, 1867 in Elkton, Todd County, Kentucky. He died February 3rd, 1908 in Franklin, Greenlee County, Arizona and was buried the next day in the Franklin Cemetery.

Lucy Susan Stinson was born on the 13th of November, 1846 in Henryville, Logan County, Kentucky. She was the 14th child of Archibald and Elizabeth Smothers Stinson. She died on the 21st of March, 1927 in Hayden, Gila County, Arizona and was buried the next day in the Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, Greenlee County, Arizona.
